Blackberry and Foliage October 28, 2008

A car ran over my Blackberry. For an entrepreneur who pretty much lives for email , this was obviously a traumatic experience. In fact, it took T-mobile 7 days to get me a new phone. The first day, I couldn’t function. But guess what, by the second day, I realized that there is life without a Blackberry after all. On the third day I felt free. I saw all of my emails eventually and anyone that needed me called my office line. Now I’m less connected to this “communications device” which is good for me and my family and ironically my business. Side benefit, I realized that Fall arrived… just in time to notice all the beautiful leaves.
I Need Mommy Time October 20, 2008

Last night, my 6 year old asked if she could have a private conversation with me. I said, “Of course,” and she took me to her room, closed the door and said, “Mommy, I know that you are very busy working with Tikatok and I am very busy in school and all my activities after school, but I miss our mommy time.” She continued, “Do you mind, when you have some time and you don’t need to travel, could you spend time with me?” I told her that every Friday , after work, I will spend time just with her. OK, so I do feel a little guilty that my daughter had to have this conversation with me, but on the bright side, I am so proud that she spoke up and made it clear what would make her happy!
